Advice on Registering for a Year 7 Appeal for September 2020 – COVID-19 UPDATE
We are still awaiting guidance on what will happen with appeals. Please continue to submit your appeal form and email this to email@example.com by 3pm Monday 27 April as stated below. We will acknowledge receipt of all appeals. It may not be possible for you to send in supporting documents, for example it is likely that schools and doctors won’t be in a position to provide a statement. If this is relevant to your appeal then please mention in your statement. We will update the website with further details as soon as we have them.
There is an Appeal Process which enables parents/carers to appeal against non-admission to the school. If you are not happy with the allocated school place on 2 March:
Any girls who have met the qualifying standard for Stroud High School can ask to go on our waiting list. Gloucestershire County Council’s (GCC’s) waiting list deadline is Monday 9 March 2020. GCC will notify parents of the outcome of waiting list requests after 30 March 2020.
If your daughter has not been successful in gaining a place at Stroud High School for entry in Year 7 in September 2020, you do have a statutory right to appeal before an Independent Admissions Appeal panel. Additionally, if you believe extenuating circumstances may have affected your daughter's performance on the day of the test this may be grounds for your appeal. Please note that the school is closed for the Easter break from Monday 6 to Friday 17 April so please request one before this date if possible as the deadline for returning applications is listed below.
Monday 27 April 2020 by 3pm - Deadline for submitting the Appeal Pack form back to Stroud High School
Monday 11 May 2020 - Deadline for submitting any additional evidence for your appeal
Appeal Hearings will take place w/c Monday 1 June 2020
