On Wednesday 14 June some Year 8 students, including myself, participated in an engineering workshop. Firstly we experienced a PowerPoint presentation showing the journey of James Dyson in making the Dyson vacuum cleaner and the Ballbarrow. Afterwards, we had an activity which involved us designing and making a machine to use around the house but it had to incorporate air. Some of these inventions included a weed killer, a wall cleaner and a water vacuum. We all learnt something from this experience. It was enjoyable, educational and fun. Thank you to Dyson for this opportunity.
