Hannah in Y7 has had fantastic success at the recent Soroptimist writing competition. Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement that works to transform the lives of women and girls. Every year at Coberley Primary School the children write an essay that is put forward as part of the competition. We were delighted to hear that Hannah won first prize in the Year 5/6 category for her work produced whilst she was still at the school. It also meant that Coberley were awarded the Schools trophy.
For Hannah, this was no mean feat, with over 1000 entries in total. The prize was awarded to her by the Mayor of Cirencester and local author John Dougherty. She has also been asked to record her work, and this will be broadcast on BBC radio.
