Stroud High Climbing Team Success

Last Monday was the fourth and final round of the South West Schools' Climbing Competition, held at The Climbing Academy in Bristol. Our students did brilliantly, working hard to come well-deserved second place in a hard-fought competition, having entered the comp as favourites to win after winning last year by a wide margin. Anya Forino came joint first overall, despite missing a round due to a broken foot and broken finger, but eventually took silver after a head-to-head in the individual U-15 competition. The team fought hard throughout all four rounds, despite being one member down for the third round to come second overall. They all supported each other superbly and were a credit to the school. Overall placings for South West: Anya Forino 2nd, Kate Measroch 10th and Anya Ainsley-Bridger 13th.
