Last week Year 12 students were issued with Spanish recipes to help them with imperatives, widen their vocabulary and increase cultural knowledge of Spanish cooking to fit in with the A Level Spanish syllabus.
Yesterday they then put their skills to the test making
It was a great success. The Year 12s also made enough Churros con chocolate for the Year 10 students who study Spanish, to come over at lunchtime and sample them.
I am super proud of their efforts, their ability to follow complex recipes and instructions, and their effort during the whole experience.

Some quotes from our Year 12 students:
"I wanted to thank you again. The food was absolutely delicious and I will definitely try every single one of those dishes again. Thank you so much!"
"I really enjoyed learning how to make some typical Spanish dishes like paella and gazpacho. Reading the recipes and instructions in Spanish has helped develop my knowledge of vocabulary. Eating all the food at the end was the highlight for me as it was delicious!"
"It was absolutely amazing. I learnt how easy and simple it was to cook these dishes and has given me a greater understanding of Spanish cuisine. It definitely improved my confidence in cooking in general too!"
