Spanish Gastronomic Journey for our Y12 Students

Last week Year 12 students were issued with Spanish recipes to help them with imperatives, widen their vocabulary and increase cultural knowledge of Spanish cooking to fit in with the A Level Spanish syllabus.

Yesterday they then put their skills to the test making

  • Gazpacho
  • Paella
  • Patatas bravas
  • Chorizo
  • Sangria (non-alcoholic of course)
  • Tortilla española
  • Crema catalana
  • Churros con chocolate

It was a great success. The Year 12s also made enough Churros con chocolate for the Year 10 students who study Spanish, to come over at lunchtime and sample them.

I am super proud of their efforts, their ability to follow complex recipes and instructions, and their effort during the whole experience.
