We are proud to work with many schools, organisations businesses and groups.

Educational Partnerships

As an outstanding school we work hard to contribute more widely to education in our local area. We learn best with, and from, other schools

We are part of the Grammar School Heads Association (GSHA) working on developing provision in the selective sector. We are committed to widening access to the school and support GSHA in doing this work with the Department for Education through an explicit Memorandum of Understanding

We collaborate with 8 primary schools across the Stroud District. On Wednesday afternoons Stroud High School Teachers and trained Sixth Form volunteers deliver lessons in Maths, Science, Languages and Music. This programme culminates with a Festival of Learning hosted on site at Stroud High School

We are part of three different Teaching School Alliances. We have developed programmes on transition from Primary to Secondary school with CETA, delivered training for non-specialist language teachers with the Sir Thomas Rich’s Teaching Alliance, and year on year we provide training and mentor support for the National Professional Qualifications in Senior Leadership and Headship with the Odessey Teaching Alliance in Cheltenham

We help develop and train teachers through our partnership with GITEP. Each year we host trainees across different subject areas. We also lead the provision for the training of all Modern Foreign Language teachers on the GITEP scheme in Gloucestershire.

We regularly provide training and support for Gloucestershire Association of School Business Managers

Teaching and Learning

We are connected to a global network of schools through High Performance Learning (HPL). We are currently a pathway school aiming to gain world class accreditation over the next two years

International Partnerships

As a school we have 3 Modern Foreign Language partnerships with exchanges to schools in France, Spain and Germany. Our Sixth Form hosts students from Renens High School in the Canton de Vaud, Switzerland, as well as students from Germany and Italy.

Prior to Brexit, we ran Comenius Projects coordinating 7 schools from across the European Union

We have an exchange with Hanbit High School in Paju, South Korea

Working with Industry

We are proud to give our students opportunities to work with local and countywide companies and organisations

Computing and Cyber security

As a Cyber First Silver Award school, we work with many different organisations through NCSC Cyber First. Our partner company is Sopra Steria. We also work with Cygenta on this project

Several companies provide ementoring - these include CACI and BAE Systems

STEM and Local Organisations

Students in Y10-13 undertake Gold, Silver and Bronze Crest awards supported by local engineering firms, GE and Tony Gee

Students in Key Stage 3 undertake electrical engineering sessions with Renishaws

Armed Forces

Over the past two years we have been working with the Royal Navy CCF to develop a Cadet Unit at Stroud High School. The unit is now partly operational, and we hope to increase the number of cadets across the school

Duke of Edinburgh

We partner with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and have a DofE license. The school routinely has over 200 students completing awards each year
