Progress

The DfE’s Progress 8 measures progress made by students from the end of Key Stage 2 (Year 6 SATs) to the end of Key Stage 4 (GCSEs).

Stroud High School has consistently had one of the highest Progress 8 scores in Gloucestershire.  This measure was not calculated in the years in which students did not sit public examinations, due to the COVID pandemic. Furthermore, as the latest cohort to sit GCSEs did not sit SATs in Year 6, there is no Progress 8 score for the 2025 results.

  2017 2018 2019 2022 2023 2024
Progress 8 +0.92 +1.12 +0.93 +0.68 +0.77 +0.85
