Welcome to Stroud High School.
As a community we are on an exciting journey trying to define the 21st Century grammar school.
We want to be a school where bright students can thrive and flourish in an environment and culture which enables the “exceptional” to become an everyday occurrence. Our students and staff know that this takes hard work, the humility to keep improving and a passion for learning itself.
Our community is built on excellent relationships, a respect for individuality, a commitment to inclusivity as well as a sense of fun – the way we all treat each other is as important as what we do.
If we get this right then students will gain life changing qualifications ready for the next stage of their education, but more importantly equipped with the skills and character to take on the challenges of an ever-changing world. And they do. Our progress levels at GCSE are consistently among the very highest in Gloucestershire and make us the highest performing state girls' school in the South West. Our performance at GCSE and A Level combined has the Sunday Times Parent Power ranking us year on year as one of the top performing schools in the South West and within the top fifty state schools in the country. Year on year our students access the full range of Universities in the UK and abroad as well Art Colleges, Performing Arts Colleges and Higher Apprenticeships
