Our Digital Strategy

Stroud High School aims to become a 21st-century grammar school where exceptional learning is the norm. Central to this vision is the integration of digital technology in education, ensuring students thrive in a digitally-driven world.

We recognise technology and digital devices' integral and essential role in our everyday lives and workplaces. Education cannot remain unaffected by this, and we firmly believe that if we are to adequately prepare students for today’s world and continue to provide the highest levels of attainment then we need to provide an educational experience that embeds technology at the heart of it. 

Over the next few years, we will be moving to a device-per-student provision for all year groups. A device-per-student provision means that each student will be equipped with a 2-in-1 touch screen device that they will use to access and complete their school work. 

The transition to a device per student provision began in September 2024, with Year 12 moving to Bring Your Own Device Provision. In September 2025 Year 8 will move to school managed device per student provision.
