Please be aware that the main points of entry to Stroud High School are in Year 7 and Year 12 (Sixth Form). As a result, places in other year groups are rarely available.
There are currently no places available in Years 7 to 11. This does not apply to the normal Year 7 intake each September.
Admission to other year groups is via an internal test of a student’s ability in English and Mathematics. In Year testing takes place 3 times a year, all applicants on the Register of Interest will be invited to sit the entrance tests set by Stroud High School. These tests do not replicate the Gloucestershire Grammar Schools’ Entrance Test used for Year 7 entry, but are designed to determine whether an applicant is suited to both the academic level of the year group and the curriculum offered. Applicants who meet the required standard in the tests may be offered a place at the school, subject to availability in the relevant year group or a place on the waiting list.
If you require any further information, please contact the Admissions Manager, Mrs Lynn Poole via admissions@stroudhigh.gloucs.sch.uk.
Further information is available on in year admissions via Gloucestershire County Council and applicants will need to complete a GCC in year form prior to testing - the school will send this.
